Who could’ve thought that our planned Styled Shoot was indeed STILL going to take place despite the Snow Storm Advisory Warning in Michigan in January 2020? This Styled Shoot was published on Contemporary Weddings Magazine, and I’m so glad to finally be able to share some of the photos from this magical day on our website!
We all drove in the Snow Blizzard and Weather Advisory on January 18th,2020 because we had this beautiful Concept in mind. We wanted to show potential brides how gorgeous it is to have Winter-themed photos! Michigan is known for its long winter months and snowy days, but we’re not going to just wait for Spring and Summer to have a shoot. A Bride is beautiful in any season!:)
The colors for the shoot were a mix of Blue, Gold, Burgundy and White. They just mixed up so beautifully and contrasted with the snow all around.
Brides & Tailor created a special custom faux fur piece in Burgundy to match the overall theme and to contrast beautifully with the snow and the wedding dress. The Custom Wedding Dress by Brides & Tailor was a very simple yet elegant gown. It features lace on the bodice, intricate lace detailing at the back, and a flowy soft tulle skirt for the skirt. We are always trying to showcase different gown styles that a variety of brides would love! Needless to say, the bride looked awesome in it!
One of my favorite parts about this shoot were the 2 main characters – The bride and the Groom :) Rebecca and Beau are husband and wife, and we cannot deny that the chemistry between those 2 was just AMAZING. They seriously made the photographer’s and the videographer’s work effortless! They were goofy, spontaneous and full of life!
For the table, a navy velvet tablecloth was used, and beautiful golf flatware, gold chargers and candle holders were used. The chairs also had golden accents and it was the perfect addition. Our planners Britt and Megan created the perfect setup and added some candles in just a few minutes. Planners really do magic:) The florist created beautiful pops of burgundy color floral work mixed with greenery, white and earthy colors. The flowers were out of this world! One of the things I also loved the most was the beautiful sofa which was perfect to add some warmth and coziness to the outside cold. The small vintage table used for the cake and the flowers was also so cute! Did you know that it was pre-purposed from a sewing machine? It looked absolutely gorgeous with the setting! :)
The cake was also an outstanding part of the shoot. Our awesome cake artist Mackenzie created an edible cake which has beautifully-blended navy blue and gold colors. It was the perfect cake for the perfect theme!
The makeup of the bride was so trendy and the bold lipstick color really made the lips stand out. The hairstylist created an elegant braid which really suited Rebecca’s face. For the stationary, Elisa created beautiful stationary with printed florals which had burgundy, blue and earthy colors.
All of this shoot would have never been possible without the efforts of these vendors and without 2 awesome vendors who were able to make the shoot streamed to all the audience in pictures. Kai Davis is an amazing photographer who is capable of capturing images with such great detail and color. Her photography is so airy and real that it really blows my mind away. Our videographer,Mas Media, is also such a talented videographer. Throughout the shoot, he was running around with his video equipment and his drone, and needless to say, his video speaks for itself. I literally teared up when I watched it. So so sweet to see what a work of art he has created.
I know I have probably written so much about this shoot already, but it is indeed one of my most memorable ones! Now all you need to do is sit back and enjoy these photos and video from this magical day!
